Installation process

You can refer to the resources below to learn how to install LUTs on other editing software.

DaVinci Resolve: watch on youtube

LumaFusion: watch on youtube

If you are using another software, I am sure the information can easily be found on Google or YouTube.

Tutorial 1: Gopro & classic LUTs

4 Color Grading Steps

Remember these 4 steps when color grading with these LUTs:

  • Step 1: Fix your exposure (if needed)

  • Step 2: Apply a LUT (play with the intensity if needed)

  • Step 3: Fine tune your exposure (if needed)

  • Step 4: Fine tune your white balance (if needed)

These should be the only steps you really need to go through in order to make the most of these LUTs. Of course, there are ways to dig even deeper into the color grading process with selective colors, masking etc.

Tutorial 2: log & rec709 LUTs

Color Grading Steps for REC709

Remember these 5 steps when color grading with the Rec709 LUTs:

  • Step 1: Apply a Rec709 Conversion LUT (Find it on the website of your camera manufacturer. It should be free)

  • Step 2: Fix your exposure (if needed)

  • Step 3: Apply a LUT (play with the intensity if needed)

  • Step 4: Fine tune your exposure (if needed)

  • Step 5: Fine tune your white balance (if needed)

For the LOG LUTs, use the same 4 steps as seen in the GoPro and Classic LUTs tutorial.
